Built around what shipped in the last two years, so you can explain every decision, not just make it.
No time spent on "what is a frame." Module 1 recalibrates you on what changed since you learned Figma, then the course moves straight into properties, systems, motion, AI tooling, and shipping.
A variable can drive more than a fill. Bind it to a property and the component reconfigures itself.
No more manual swaps for every state. That's Module 4, and it's the module this course exists to teach properly.
Ordered the way you'll actually use it on the job: recalibrate, build systems, add motion and AI, ship to engineering, then explain it clearly when someone asks why. Click any phase for the full module breakdown.
Every module ends in a file, not a checkbox. By the last session the artifacts below are already built, reviewed in critique, and yours to reuse at work the following Monday.
The course is always the same 37 hours and 17 modules. What changes is who you take it with, and how fast you want the calendar to move.
Extra 1:1 time on top of any track — a portfolio review, a mock critique run-through, troubleshooting a file — is billed at the base hourly rate and only added if you ask for it.
STAFF PRODUCT DESIGNER, THE PERSON TEACHING THIS COURSE
12+ years designing and building digital products for companies around the world, based out of Mexico City. I've spent that time scaling design systems and file systems used by 150+ designers, leading product design across fintech, consumer, and industrial software, and teaching UX/UI professionally. Beyond the Basics is built from that work, not from theory.
The cohort is small, so I read every message myself. Send your experience level and what you're stuck on, and I'll reply with whether this course is the right fit and when the next seats open.
Replies come straight from me, usually within two days.
